Ingredients
- 12 oz Spaghetti (use bronze-cut for better starch)
- 2 cups Cherry Tomatoes (halved for maximum juice release)
- 4 cloves Garlic Cloves (thinly sliced for even distribution)
- 4 cups Vegetable Broth (use low-sodium for salt control)
- 1/2 cup Fresh Basil (add at the very end of cooking)
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil (extra virgin offers the best aroma)
Instructions
- Place the dry spaghetti into a large, wide-sided skillet or heavy-bottomed pan.
- Add the tomatoes, sliced garlic, and fresh basil leaves on top of the pasta.
- Pour the vegetable broth and olive oil directly over the ingredients until everything is partially submerged.
- Turn the heat to high and bring the liquid to a steady boil while stirring frequently.
- Reduce the heat to a simmer and stir the pasta every few minutes to prevent sticking.
- Cook for approximately 10 to 12 minutes until the liquid has reduced into a thick, creamy sauce.
- Remove the skillet from the heat once the pasta reaches an al dente texture.
Notes
Use a wide skillet to ensure that the pasta noodles remain fully submerged and cook evenly without clumping together. Stir the pasta continuously during the first few minutes to prevent starch from bonding noodles to the bottom of the pan. Adjust heat level to a gentle simmer rather than a rolling boil to prevent broth from evaporating before pasta is cooked through.
