A sophisticated, tropical twist on the classic ice cream bar bringing professional-quality frozen desserts straight to your home with a perfect balance of creamy mango fruitiness and decadent dark chocolate crunch.

  • Total Time: 6 hours
  • Yield: 8 bars 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large Ripe Mangoes (Use Ataulfo mangoes for smoothest texture)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (Full fat is essential for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Milk (Use full-fat canned variety)
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup (Honey works as a sweet alternative)
  • 300g Dark Chocolate (High-quality 70% cocoa)
  • 3 tbsp Coconut Oil (Necessary for a smooth shell)

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the ripe mangoes before transferring them into a high-speed blender container.
  2. Blend until perfectly smooth and then stir in your heavy cream, coconut milk, and maple syrup.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if your mangoes were less ripe than expected for your Mango Magnums recipe.
  4. Pour the mixture carefully into silicone ice cream bar molds, ensuring you leave a little space at the top.
  5. Insert the wooden sticks halfway into the setting mixture to finalize the base of your Mango Magnums recipe.
  6. Freeze the molds for at least six hours, or preferably overnight, for best results.
  7. Melt your dark chocolate and coconut oil together using a double boiler over very low heat.
  8. Remove the frozen mango bars from the molds once they are solid enough to handle quickly.
  9. Dip each bar rapidly into the chocolate mixture, allowing the excess to drip off before setting it on parchment paper.
  10. Return the prepared bars to the freezer for five minutes to complete your Mango Magnums recipe perfectly.

Notes

Ensure mango puree is completely smooth by straining it through a fine-mesh sieve if needed. Allow the chocolate coating to cool down to room temperature before dipping. Store finished bars in an airtight container immediately in the freezer for up to 3 weeks.
