Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium fresh cucumbers
- 3 medium green apples (Granny Smith preferred)
- 2 cups filtered water
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 8–10 fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons honey (optional sweetener)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Wash the cucumbers and green apples thoroughly under cool running water.
- Core and roughly chop the green apples, and chop the cucumbers into two-inch chunks.
- Add the chopped cucumbers, chopped apples, filtered water, fresh lemon juice, honey, mint leaves, and a pinch of sea salt to the blender.
- Blend on high speed for sixty to ninety seconds until the mixture becomes smooth and uniform throughout.
- Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing gently with a spoon to extract maximum liquid.
- Add fresh ice cubes to the pitcher, stir gently to distribute flavors evenly, and serve immediately in tall glasses.
Notes
Chill all ingredients for thirty minutes before blending to improve flavor development and reduce ice dilution. Use English cucumbers rather than standard varieties as they contain fewer seeds and create a smoother texture. Store in airtight glass containers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days at 40°F or below.
