Ingredients
1 block (14 to 16 ounces) extra-firm tofu
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon soy sauce (alcohol-free*)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon neutral oil (for air frying)
Instructions
Pat tofu dry with paper towels and cut into 1-inch cubes.
Mix cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, soy sauce, and salt in a bowl.
Toss tofu cubes in the coating mixture until evenly coated.
Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Spray cubes lightly with oil.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 18 minutes, flipping halfway.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Press tofu for 20 minutes to remove moisture before slicing.
Soy sauce must be alcohol-free; substitute tamari for a vegan/diary-free option.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
